TERMS & CONDITIONS - Books and Boogie (trading as Books & Boogie)
These Terms & Conditions apply when you book a place at a Books and Boogie session,
whether you book via ClassForKids or directly with us.
1. Getting in Touch / Who We Are
Books and Boogie (trading as Books & Boogie) provides parent-and-child music, movement,
and storytelling sessions for young children.

In these Terms & Conditions:
“we”, “us”, “our” means Books and Boogie
“you” , “your” means the person making the booking
2. About Books and Boogie
Sessions are designed to be inclusive, welcoming, energetic, and developmentally
appropriate, encouraging children to explore movement, music, and stories in a fun and
engaging way.
3. Booking & Payment
● Places are limited and are offered on a first come, first served basis.
● Bookings may be made via ClassForKids or directly with Books and Boogie.
● Payment may be made by ClassForKids, bank transfer, card, or cash, depending on
the booking method used.
● A place is only confirmed once payment has been received.
Sessions may be booked as:
● Pay As You Go (PAYG), or
● Block bookings, typically offered in 5-week blocks aligned with school terms.
Some blocks may start or finish earlier than standard school term dates due to holidays,
venue availability, or scheduling requirements.
Free Trial
A free trial session is available for all new families, subject to availability. Free trials are
limited to one per person unless agreed otherwise.
Booking Errors / Oversubscription
If a booking cannot be accepted due to an administrative error or oversubscription, we will
contact you as soon as possible and provide a full refund for any payment made.
4. Cancellations & Refunds
● PAYG bookings are non-refundable unless a session is cancelled by Books and
Boogie.
● Block bookings are non-refundable once the block has started.
● Missed sessions cannot be refunded, transferred, or carried over.
● If Books and Boogie cancels a session, a refund or credit will be offered where
appropriate.
5. Adverse Weather / Events Outside Our Control
If a session cannot go ahead due to circumstances outside our control (for example adverse
weather, venue closure, or events that make travel unsafe), we will do our best to reschedule
the session. If rescheduling is not possible, we may offer a credit or refund at our discretion,
depending on the circumstances.
6. Arrival, Punctuality & Session Flow
We will always do our best to start and end on time, so please allow enough time to arrive
and get settled. Late arrivals may be asked to wait for a suitable moment to join, to avoid
disrupting the group.
7. Attendance & Supervision
● All children must be accompanied by a parent or responsible carer at all times.
● Parents/carers remain fully responsible for their child’s safety, behaviour, and
supervision throughout each session.
● Books and Boogie sessions are not a childcare provision.
8. Health, Safety & Participation
Sessions include a variety of activities such as singing, dancing, bouncing, jumping,
crawling, and floor-based movement.
● Parents/carers are responsible for ensuring their child participates in a way that is
safe and suitable for their individual ability and stage of development.
● Please inform the session leader of any relevant medical conditions, allergies,
injuries, or additional needs in advance, either via ClassForKids or directly.
● You must follow the reasonable instructions of the session leader to help keep
everyone safe and ensure the session runs smoothly.
Hygiene & Props
To help keep sessions safe and hygienic:
● Please do not allow children to place any props, equipment, or fabrics into their
mouths.
● If your child is teething, please bring a suitable teething toy for them.
9. Phones & Food
● Please keep mobile phones on silent during sessions.
● Please avoid food during sessions where possible (except bottles, feeding babies, or
medical needs).
10. Illness
Please do not attend sessions if you or your child are unwell or contagious. This helps to
ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all families.
As a general guide, please do not attend if your child has had vomiting and/or diarrhoea
within the last 48 hours.
11. Behaviour
Books and Boogie promotes a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment for all families.
● If behaviour becomes unsafe or significantly disruptive, parents/carers may be asked
to step outside the session temporarily.
● Persistent or serious behavioural concerns may result in removal from the session
without refund.
12. Photography & Video
● Photography and video permissions for Books and Boogie promotional use are
managed through ClassForKids or via direct consent where applicable.
● Parents/carers may take photos/videos of their own child only if other children are not
included (unless you have the permission of those children’s parents/carers).
● The session leader may ask photography/filming to stop at any time. Continued
participation is dependent on following this request.
13. Data Protection
● Personal data is primarily collected and stored via ClassForKids.
● Books and Boogie may securely download and temporarily store limited information
(such as registers or emergency contact details) for legitimate administrative
purposes.
● All personal data is handled in line with data protection legislation and is not shared
with third parties without consent unless legally required.

14. Session Leader Substitution
We aim to provide consistent session leadership, but we may occasionally use a substitute
session leader if needed (for example due to illness or unforeseen circumstances).
15. Complaints
If you have any concerns, we want to resolve them quickly and fairly. Please refer to our
Complaints Policy for details of how to raise an issue.
16. Liability
● Parents/carers attend and participate in Books and Boogie sessions at their own risk.
● We take reasonable steps to provide a safe environment, however accidents can
happen and children must be supervised at all times by their parent/carer.
● Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits our liability for:
○ death or personal injury caused by our negligence,
○ fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or
○ any other liability which cannot legally be limited or excluded.
● Subject to the above, Books and Boogie is not responsible for loss or injury sustained
outside of its reasonable control.
17. Insurance
Books and Boogie holds public liability insurance appropriate to the activities delivered.

18. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
